Frequently Asked Questions

  • Once you decide to get in touch, you can email me or fill out the contact form provided. Within a couple days, I will get back to you to schedule a free consultation call. During that call, we can get a sense of what you are looking for and whether I might be able to help. If you decide to give it a try, we can schedule the first session. I will send you an invite to my patient portal where you can complete intake forms and get more information about my practice. In the first few sessions I typically ask you more questions to get to know you and establish therapy goals.

  • .Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes long. Initially, I ask that we meet weekly. Like many things in life, therapy progress is often tied to effort and consistency.

The duration of therapy varies based on each person’s unique situation and therapy goals. Some people feel better in a few weeks but in my experience, sustainable change and growth needs much more time.

  • I’m an out-of-network provider. What that means is that while I do not bill insurance directly, I can provide monthly “superbills”- detailed invoices with all the information typically required by insurance providers for reimbursement. I encourage you to check with your insurance if you have out-of-network benefits for behavioral health.

  • My current fee for a 50-minute session is $225. Payment is due at the time of service and I accept credit and debit cards.

I also offer a sliding scale but those slots are typically limited. Please ask if this is something you might need.
